HOW TO USE THIS HANDBOOK
This book helps make it easier to find information and navigate freely throughout the ADA/ABA Accessibility Guidelines. It is divided in two parts; the ADA Accessibility Guidelines and the ABA Accessibility Guidelines for Federal applications.
ADA Accessibility Guidelines are located from pages I through 337:
Sections 1 through 9, code numbers 101 through 203, contain an overview of the application and scoping provisions. Chapters 1 through 71, code numbers 204 through 1010, contain both the scoping requirements and the related technical provisions for components of a building or facility. All like subjects have been contained in their own chapter regardless of code number.
ABA Accessibility Guidelines are located from pages 339 through 482:
Sections F1 through F9, code numbers F101 through F203, contain an overview of the application and scoping provisions. Chapters F1 through F41, code numbers F204 through F243, contain specific scoping for components of a building or facility.
In Chapters 1 through 71, the ADA Scoping Requirements are combined with all related technical See the Table of Contents for a listing of code numbers. The Application, Scoping Technical Section code numbers contained in each Section and Chapter have been placed directly to the right of the Section or Chapter name.
For example, Chapter 6 - Parking spaces, contains ADA Scoping Requirements (208) as well as the Technical Sections (501 and 502) that pertain to these requirements.

Whereby, 208 is the scoping requirement and 501, 502 are the technical elements.
